“The inquiry cannot turn the clock back, but what it can do is to establish the truth”
SO said our opening submission on behalf of core participants in the Infected Blood Inquiry.
That was presented at a preliminary hearing in September, where many victims of the scandal had the first opportunity to share their stories and ask questions.
Eight months later, the inquiry is now poised to begin hearing evidence in person from hundreds of people the length and breadth of the UK who are determined to discover the truth.
The first of the campaigners we are representing is due to present their evidence at the end of this week, with a second due to share their experiences next week.
